Ashlynn's Blessing!

I am so late on posting these pictures! We blessed are little Ashlynn about 6 weeks ago. She was tired during it and had to have her binky, but after it was all over she got a second wind and gave us some really cute pictures. Mason was nervous to give his first baby blessing, but did a wonderful job. Also, this beautiful dress that she is wearing was made by my mom! She made it the day before, because I was going to bless her in my blessing dress, but I wasn't completly satisfied. So my mom surprised me with these absolutley beautiful dress! My mom rocks! We had a fun time showing ashlynn off in az and are excited to move back! I will add move pics of our recent adventures later in the week!

Ashlynn is finally smiling at us! She has always smiled in her sleep, but is just starting to think her parents are funny. We love it! She is now 5 weeks old and seems so big to me! She has become a lot more wiggly and is turning on her side, but not all the way. I think its a good start. She loves having tummy time and is starting to hole her head up better. Mason is dying for her to get bigger, but I am loving her now! We are going to AZ next week to show her of to all our family and friends! She is probably going to leave their with more little boyfriends! :) Mason doesn't like it when I say that she has lots of boyfriends. He already gets that worry/protective look in his eyes. I know I have just been blogging about Ashlynn, but that is all that is new. We haven't done much since she was born. My sister did have a baby girl last week! My other sister had a girl in june, so their are 3 little girl cousins about the same age! We hope they will end up friends!

Do I look crazy?

Ashlynn Is finally here!!!

Ashlynn was born on tues. July 14, 2009 and weighted 7.88 lbs and was 20 1/4 in. long. The whole labor process was actually easier than i thought it would be! I had contractions all day monday, but they didn't seem all that strong to me so I didn't really pay attention to them. By 8:30am on tuesday, they were 5 to 6 min. apart and consistant. I called my doctor and he said I most likely was no in labor, but to come in so that they can check to make sure. I took my time taking a shower and finishing packing my bag. We got to the hospital at 10:30 am and found out that I was dialated to 4 1/2! I was kinda surprised! An hour later I was at a 6 and they wanted to break my water. I thought about doing it all naturally since I was handling everything better than I had thought I would, but I got talked into an epidural. We had to want for the epidural before they could break my water. It took about 45 min for the lady to come up and do it, but by then there was an emergency c-section for another patient that all of the doctors were seeing to. I had to wait 2 hrs. Once they finally brook my water, labor proceed really fast. It took about and hour or hour 1/2 before I was ready to push. Her head wasn't down that far, so they thought I might be pushing for awile, but I wasn't having any of that! I ended up giving it all i had and only had to push for about 30 min.! She was born at 5:51 on July 14 and was more beautiful than we expected! We have throughly enjoyed her!

Hanging with Mares!

We had Mason sister, MaryAnn, and her friend Julie come and stay with us this last week. They got to go travel to new york and DC, so we only saw them for a couple days. We enjoyed having them here. We went and showed them downtown philly of course and had some yummy philly cheesesteaks! If you every come to philly, you have to get chez whiz on your cheesesteak! Its the only way to do it! Mason didn't get to go downtown with us, so when he got off work we went mini golfing. We had a bet between mase and me, and mares and julie. We so won! It wasn't by that much, but it counts! I love having family and friends visit!

Chillin in DC!

A couple of weeks ago we went to DC with some friends. We had a lot of fun going to the musuems and seeing all the sights! There is so much to see there that I feel like we barley scratched the surface! My favorite was the holocaust museum! If you go to DC you have to go their for sure. It was very humbling to be remind of our history and how cruel people can be. Its good to now that are government does try to help other countries for the good.

Well, on another note, our baby is healthy and were are waiting to meet her! It is hard to belive that we will have a baby in like 3 weeks! I am very eager and nervous all at the same time. Im just glad that my mom will be out her to help me!

New York!!

We had a blast in New York! We went with some of our friends about 4 weeks ago. I have been meaning to post for awhile, but I have been distracted. At New York we saw a lot of things! We sat at central park and watched people, and we went to the musuem of natural art, we walked broadway. For dinner we went to Planet Holleywood, it was my first time eating their. The food wasn't bad, but I wouldn't recomend it. I have several others trips that i will have to post about later!

Mason Has been wanting to shave his head for a really long time. I keep trying to talk him out of it because I love his hair! But he finally won and I shaved it on Mon. We went through all of the stages from flat top, to mohawk, and to finally bald. I personally like the mohawk the best!! :) The good thing is that he know has 2 months to grow it back so he can look normal for pics when Ashlynn is born!
